On the way to Council’s Ambition to meet Zero Net Carbon Emissions with a New Green Electrical Mower

Barry Town Council is proud to announce that steps are being taken to fulfil the Council’s ambition to become Carbon net neutral by 2030.

As part of Barry Town Council’s Climate Change Strategy a Mean Green Electrical mower has been purchased for use at Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery and is one of the first to be used in the Wales and the First in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Mayor of Barry, Councillor Helen Payne along with Councillors Goodjohn and Hennessey and the Facilities and Cemeteries Manager, Mrs Amanda Evens officially introduced the new electric mower to the Cemetery on Friday, 23 September.
