School Governor Vacancy – Minor Authority Representative (MAR) Role
Are you a member of the public with an interest in the wellbeing of your local community and a desire to make a positive contribution in Barry?
School Governors are volunteers who work closely with the Headteacher and school staff, forming part of the leadership and management of a school. They play an important role in supporting and challenging schools to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
The role of a MAR is a voluntary position, appointed for a four-year term. The role involves attending school meetings and reporting findings to the Council.
