Have Your Say on Barry Town Council’s 2026/27 Budget Proposals

Barry Town Council will meet on 16 February 2026 to agree its budget for the 2026/27 financial year. A public consultation has been launched to gather the views of residents, businesses, and the wider community on the proposed budget, including a suggested increase to the Council Tax precept.

For 2026/27, the Town Council estimates total expenditure at £1,655,216, with income from fees and charges projected at £178,838. As a result, the draft budget includes a proposed Council Tax precept increase of £6.33 a year for a Band D property.

The full set of draft budget proposals will be available as part of the agenda for the Full Council meeting on Monday, 15 December 2025, and can be accessed here.
