Mayor Wilkinson and Barry Town Clerk, Emily Forbes honoured the 1 minute silence held at noon on March 23rd 2021, during today's National Day of Reflection.

March 23rd 2021 marks the anniversary of the first national lockdown. To recognise this milestone the nation came together for a National Day of Reflection. The past year was one of the most challenging and difficult 12 months, which touched all of our lives. On this day we seen early signs that the pandemic was past its peak, with the hope that a return to a more normal and brighter time was ahead of us.

Tragically and so sadly, 126,000 people have died across the UK during this pandemic. Barry Town Council joined the nation to observe a minute of silence to show our respects to all who lost their lives to COVID-19.
