The Mayor of Barry’s Christmas Market
With Christmas fast approaching, Barry Town Council are introducing a new Mayor’s Christmas Market on 25th November from 10 am – 2pm at the Cemetery Approach Community Centre, showcasing a number of talented arts and craft makers form the local area. Admission is free, and it’s the perfect opportunity to start your Christmas shopping or search for that perfect handmade gift. Tea / Coffee and some festive refreshments will be sold on the day supporting The Mayor of Barry’s chosen charities, Mind in the Vale and 2Wish.
Mind in the Vale is an independent mental health charity who affiliate to Mind National. They work with and for people who experience mental health problems, providing information so people are aware of their rights and can make informed choices. 2Wish’s mission is to ensure that all those affected by the sudden and traumatic death of a child or young adult aged 25 or under throughout Wales receive the bereavement support they deserve.
The event marks the start of the Christmas events for Barry Town Council, and will be a followed by the Partnership event “Barry Christmas Festival” at Kings Square and Central Park form the 30th November – 2nd December. Barry Town Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council are working together once more to provide a fun and exciting Christmas festival in the centre of Barry town.
