The Mayor of Barry, Councillor Catherine Iannucci-Williams, will be holding a Mayor’s Spring Market on Saturday 3rd May from 10 am – 2pm at the 5th Barry Sea Scout Hall, Everard Street, Barry. CF63 4PW, showcasing a number of talented arts and craft makers from the local area.
Admission is free, and it’s a great opportunity to shop for that perfect handmade gift. Alongside the local crafters, refreshments will be sold on the day supporting the Mayor of Barry’s chosen charities; Vale Foodbank and Shua Home and Sanctuary.
The Vale Foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s network of 428 foodbanks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities, as well as across the UK.
SHUA (Safe House for Unwanted Animals) is a small local animal welfare charity staffed by volunteers. They operate an emergency rescue and rehabilitation service for stray, sick, injured & unidentified cats & kittens.
