The Mayor’s Christmas Market

Saturday 25 November 2023 | 10am until 2pm
Cemetery Approach Community Centre, St Teilo’s Ave, Barry.
FREE Entry.

The Mayor of Barry, Cllr Ian Johnson, is hosting a Christmas Market that will bring the community together!
This charity Christmas event will raise money for the Mayor’s chosen charities; 2Wish and Mind in the Vale.

Thursday 30 November – Saturday 2 December 2023
12pm – 6pm
Central Park and King Square, Barry.

Thursday 30 November
Enjoy street entertainers, music, food, drink and crafts on the Square and in the Park, from 12 to 8pm.
At 6.30pm Santa will turn on the King Square Christmas lights
and Santa will also be in his free grotto from just after the switch on, until 8pm.
Plus don’t miss late night shopping in the town until 7.30pm
Friday 1 December
Enjoy street entertainers, music, food, drink and crafts on the Square and in the Park, from 12 to 8pm.
And visit Santa in his free grotto from 4pm to 8pm.
Saturday 2 December
Enjoy street entertainers, music, food, drink and crafts on the Square and in the Park from 12 to 8pm.
Santa will be visiting his free Grotto from 12 to 8pm.
And to close the festival, watch a Christmas film in Central Park from 4pm.
Holton Rd Pedestrian Area will also host funfair rides for the three days.

 

Mental Elf Run

Barry Island
Sunday 3 December 2023

The Mental Elf Run will take place on Sunday 3 December at Barry Island and will feature a 2k run for adults, children and dogs. Registration fee will be £6.00 for adults, with children and dogs being free – but all those attending would need to register for a ticket. The fee includes the fundraising pack, access to the fun run, elf themed accessories for the event and the medal.

Sponsorship forms are required this year and these can be done through the traditionally method of a paper sponsorship form or through the online donation portal, found on Barry Town Council’s website.
