Mayor of Barry’s Fairtrade Coffee Morning

Mayor of Barry’s Fairtrade Coffee Morning

The Mayor of Barry, Councillor Dennis Clarke will be hosting an open coffee morning in the Town Hall, King Square on Saturday 4th October from 10am – 12.30pm.

The coffee morning will mark Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from 22nd September 2025 to Sunday 5th October 2025. Barry Town Council is celebrating its status as a Fairtrade Town, which has been held for 10 years to date.

Those joining the Mayor for a coffee will be able to enjoy samples of Fairtrade food and drinks, and see other products that may not normally be associated with Fairtrade. Colleagues from the Council will be on hand with tips and advice about the many ways in which you can support through buying and selecting Fairtrade whenever possible.

The morning is also a chance to meet the Town Mayor and have a chat over a coffee and cake. It is free to attend, but any donations to the Mayor’s charities would be gratefully received. Donations received on the morning will be split equally between the Mayor’s Charities of the Year – Vale Foodbank and Shua Trust Home & Sanctuary.
