Local Events - Summer

In June the Vale of Glamorgan Council organises a series of events on the Waterfront, an area of partially developed land which for most of the second week in the month features a range of exciting activities, including a funfair.

In July, the scouts and guides hold their annual fête in Romilly Park.

In the wider area, the Vale of Glamorgan Show, held on land attached to Fonmon Castle near Cowbridge, takes place during the third week in August. This comprises all the events normally associated with an agricultural show. This is followed by the Vale of Glamorgan Festival, an artistic and cultural event at many locations around the Vale featuring musical performances and arts displays, many of which take place in Barry.

Early in September is the Tall Ships Festival held at Barry Waterfront.
